Our Approach
AllerFund’s goal is to develop new therapies and products that will improve the lives of those living with food allergies.
We invest in early-stage companies and work with scientists and entrepreneurs to build businesses around promising research and technologies, including by providing critical business advice and support.
How We Screen Opportunities
As a mission-driven venture fund, AllerFund evaluates investment opportunities in much the same way that other venture funds do but we place extra importance on the clinical and community impact for children and adults with food allergies. We ask questions like:
Will this investment lead to the creation of a needed therapeutic, diagnostic or tool for food allergies?
How significantly will this product impact the lives of people who have a food allergy?
What meaningful life improvement will this bring to individuals living with food allergies?
Does this opportunity advance future therapeutic developments in the field?
